(Greenwood, S.C., Sept. 3, 2014) – The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation received a check for $150,000 on Thursday presented by Mark Kasper from the Greenwood County Community Foundation and James Medford, Chairman of the charity golf tournament held in May at the Links at Stoney Point.

The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation will use proceeds from the tournament to establish a Women’s Health fund that can be utilized for community outreach and programming to improve the health of the region’s women. The foundation was the title sponsor for the inaugural Women’s Health Classic.

“We are grateful to the sponsors, supporters and organizers of the tournament for this significant contribution to enhance the health of the women of the Lakelands region,” said Chip Stockman, Chairman of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors.
